SUBJECT: E-mobility and renewable energies
MOTIVATION: To protect the environment, e-mobility is the trend. Ideally, this form of locomotion is made possible by renewable energies. In addition to electric cars, electric motorcycles are also suitable as a means of transport.
GOAL: Charge electric motorcycles as efficiently as possible with renewable energy that is available everywhere, such as sunlight.
PROBLEM: Corresponding electric charging stations are unfortunately not available everywhere. In addition, there is the relatively long waiting time until the battery is recharged.
SOLUTION (idea): The motorcyclist wears a motorcycle suit that is covered with solar foil. In this way, the motorcyclist always has the charger with him.
For the motorcyclist, this means no additional effort. The suit is usually worn to protect the rider anyway and the foil on the suit is not a noticeable weight that affects the rider in any way while driving. The solar foil is light and flexible and is also suitable for surfaces that are uneven or that at first glance appear unsuitable for generating solar energy. In the process, the driver's back provides a wide surface that can absorb sunlight and convert it into electricity.
By electrically connecting the motorcycle suit to the e-motorcycle, the rider can also charge his motorcycle while riding and save the waiting time to recharge the battery.
This form of energy generation does not exclude the use of a conventional charging station.
