AEROVITA CAMP - Electric Hovercraft Camping Edition
Here is a design of the Aerovita Hovercraft as a camping car.

It's a complete concept package that turns the hovercraft into a self-contained, off-grid “hover-camper” without making it look like a car.

AEROVITA CAMP — Hover-Camper Edition (4–6 berth)

Mission profile

* Use case: Weekend to 2-week off-grid trips; paved roads → dirt tracks → meadows/sandbars (hover only).
* Crew: 4–6
* Range targets: 500–700 km road-hover per full charge (house loads isolated).

---

2) Camping systems (house side)

* House electrical bus: 48 V DC (separate from 900 V traction pack)
* House battery: 20–30 kWh LFP pack (modular 5 kWh blocks) in insulated belly pods; 10-year cycle life focus.
* DC-DC link: 900→48 V bidirectional, 12 kW peak / 6 kW continuous, with traction-pack isolation.
* Inverter: 48→230 V AC, 5 kVA continuous (EU spec), grid/shore compatible.
* Solar array: 1.2–1.6 kWp flush flexible tiles on roof + tail; max 1.1 kW harvest in good sun; MPPT integrated.
* Shore power: 16 A / 230 V inlet with galvanic isolation.

Water

* Fresh: 140 L (two 70 L bladder tanks, baffled) with inline carbon + UV.
* Grey: 110 L under-floor; heated drain line.
* Hot water: 10 L heat-pump boiler (48 V) + scavenged waste heat from cooling loop.

Climate

* 48 V heat-pump HVAC (2.5 kW heat / 2.0 kW cool) with CO₂-aware ventilation.
* Insulation: aerogel panels in floor/roof; R-values comparable to premium campervans.
* De-mist: heated canopy perimeter.

Cooking & fire safety

* Induction only; auto load-shed and child lock.
* Dual smoke/CO/propellant sensors; aerosol fire-suppression puck in galley & battery bay.

---

3) Hover/propulsion adaptations for camping

* Hover-camp mode:

* Lift fans idle at ultra-low RPM with active posture hold (5–7 cm) to self-level on uneven ground (±6°).
* Auto-leg deployment: four retractable landing legs with 10 cm stroke to allow zero-hover silent camp without power draw.
* Noise discipline: annular ducts + Helmholtz liners; campsite mode caps exterior ≤ 40 dBA at 10 m (legs down).
* Dust/sand mitigation: downward thrust diffuser vanes + temporary skirt lip to reduce ground plume when arriving/leaving.

---

4) Dimensions, weights, payload

* Length × width × height: 4.7 × 2.35 × 1.75 m (camp edition with roof tiles & awning cassette)
* Curb mass (camp spec): \~1,980 kg

* Traction pack 180 kWh: \~720 kg
* House LFP 25 kWh: \~165 kg
* Hover & thrust hardware: \~420 kg
* Interior + systems: \~475 kg
* Structure: \~200 kg
* Gross vehicle mass target: 2,600 kg
* Usable payload (passengers + water + cargo): \~620 kg

* Example: 4 adults (320 kg) + water full (140 kg) → leaves \~160 kg for food/gear.

---

5) Exterior camping hardware

* Halo awning: 270° deployable fabric from roof rim (motorized; wind sensor auto-retract).
* Modular rail mounts: quick-lock points for bikes, surf gear, cargo pods.
* Rear utility drawer: slide-out kitchen extension (prep board, outside faucet, 230 V/USB).
* Service hatch: clustered ports for shore, water fill, grey drain, compressed air.
* Perimeter work lights: warm/amber selectable to avoid bugs.
* “Quiet perimeter” LEDs: soft ground-wash lighting ring around hover skirt for camp safety.

---

6) Controls & software (camping UX)

* Camp Dashboard: single screen shows house SOC, water levels, tilt, leg status, weather, solar harvest.
* Geo-lock: hover/propulsion disabled when legs deployed + door open.
* Energy modes:

* Harvest: prioritize solar + shore charging house pack.
* Balance: maintain 20% traction buffer; allow DC-DC top-ups at night.
* Sprint: route surplus house energy to traction for departure.
* Auto-level & wind hold: legs adjust to keep cabin level; alerts > Beaufort 6.
* Anti-theft camp mode: silent perimeter radar + low-glow deterrent pattern.

---

7) Safety & compliance (campground focus)

* Low-speed maneuver cap at campsites: 6 km/h; automatic plume reduction.
* Thermal & electrical isolation between traction and house systems; independent BMS.
* Redundant e-stops at galley, cockpit, and rear hatch.
* Child-safe interlocks: no induction power unless cookware detected; hot-water max 49 °C.
* Escape hatches: canopy quick-release + aft service door.

---

8) Options & packages

* Overland pack: extended legs (+6 cm), sand stakes, recovery lines, onboard air.
* Family pack: bunk privacy, ceiling bed, extra storage cubes, projector & 48 V media server.
* Arctic pack: heated tanks/lines, thicker aerogel, vestibule door, double-pane side windows.

* Fridge/freezer: 0.6 kWh
* Lights/charging/controls: 0.4 kWh
* Induction cooking (2 × 15 min): 1.2 kWh
* Water heating (showers/dishes): 1.5 kWh
* Misc (pump, fans, media): 0.3 kWh
≈ 5–6 kWh/day → With 1.2–1.6 kWp solar, summer days can be net-zero; 25 kWh house pack gives 4–5 days no-sun autonomy.

---

10) Build system highlights (engineering)

* Modular floor cassette for house systems (drop-in unit): simplifies service & upgrades.
* Thermal zoning: separate loops for traction pack, house pack, and cabin; plate-to-air radiator in tail.
